Keep up the Tebowing
It’s finally time for me to weigh in on the Tim Tebow phenomenon. I keep reading article after article and seeing commentator after commentator going back and forth about Tebow being too religious or talking about how horrible the mechanics of his game are. Thinking more and more about Tebow I see a person who loves the Lord and wants people to know it. He wants people to see that Jesus can do great things through anybody. I honestly think most of all he is being an example to all Christians and showing what a walk with Christ is all about. Tebow is not perfect in any way and he would be the first person to say it.
Tebow is a winner when it comes to football and nobody can deny it but there is another battle besides on the field that he cares about even more. This battle is to share the Gospel to as many people as he can. We all see how intense and determined he is on the field and did you really think he was going to be anything less in his walk with the Lord? Football is just a tool that God is giving Tebow to go out and share about his faith. It wouldn’t have mattered what Tebow did in his life as a profession, he would still be sharing the gospel.
If the media wants to continue bashing Tebow for his faith then go on right ahead. All of this attention just adds to the fire that keeps this whole thing going. The more you talk about Tebow, the more you talk about Jesus. I don’t mind waking up every morning and turning on ESPN to see Tebow on the screen. It’s just another reminder for me to live today to glorify God.
This is my message to Tim Tebow (he probably wont see it but who cares). Keep doing what you are doing Tim. You have been the best role model for kids and adults since ever. It doesn’t matter to me how many games you win on the field, continue your focus on the real battle that’s out there in the world today. I better see the so-called “Tebowing” every game. The more I see you in the news, the more I see the Word of God being spread.
